Mother's Day Card


I made this card for Mother's Day in 1953. Being a little dyslexic, this is actually the back of the card. The writing was pasted onto the inside left. My Mom died on Mother's Day several years later. I found this card with her papers.

    What a lovely card Marlene. I like the colours and assume they are lilies of the valley. Mothers always like those, don't they.

    Thanks Star. Don't know why I chose black paper for it. My Mom must have like it as well to keep it that long. Marlene

    Hi Marlene...I think she treasured what you wrote..how nice to recieve that and now you have it to remember.My mom is still alive but very sick and past few years when I give her a card..I wonder if it may be the last one given..This mothers day all family got together and great emories were made!!
