Trip Planning

A road trip is in the works for this summer.  Three of us are planning to travel from Vancouver to Halifax and New York City.  We plan to drive east across Canada and come home through the States.

Our plan is simple:  to have as much fun as possible on as little money as possible and to see as much of the country as we can.

We do have our standards:  to eat healthily and have regular access to showers.

Now the planning begins - the best time to go, the most practical vehicle, where to stay, etc., etc.

 

CPP Changes

Some good news, at least for some of us:

If you are age 65 to 70 and you work while receiving your CPP retirement pension, you can choose to make CPP contributions...

It looks like, starting next January, those of us who still work, a little or a lot, can opt back into CPP and in the process increase the amount of our future pensions.
